Gold Coast, QLD – 4–6 June 2024
Team members from Milspec Services Pty Ltd attended RotorTech 2024 over all three days at the RACV Royal Pines Resort on the Gold Coast. The event brought together the helicopter, uncrewed systems, and wider aviation industries for one of the region’s most comprehensive aviation expos.
While we did not exhibit this year, our presence across all days allowed us to stay across key developments, connect with industry colleagues, and take in the latest technology, discussions, and displays.
What We Took Part In
Each day featured a different focus, and with various Milspec staff attending throughout the event, we were able to cover a broad range of topics and sessions:
Sat in on industry briefings and technical panels, including key updates on rotary-wing operations, safety, and air mobility.
Met with suppliers and partners, helping strengthen relationships and discuss upcoming projects.
Explored the static aircraft displays and vendor showcases to keep up with new technologies and capabilities entering the market.
Attended networking functions and informal meetups with other industry professionals.
Careers Day – Supporting the Future Workforce
On Thursday, we also visited the RotorTech Careers Day, which welcomed students and emerging talent into the aviation space. It was great to see the effort being made to build future pathways into the aerospace and defence sectors, and to observe how industry and education are working together to support the next generation.

Looking Ahead
RotorTech provided a valuable few days for our team to learn, connect, and reflect on where the aviation industry is heading — particularly in rotary and uncrewed flight. We appreciate the opportunity to be involved and look forward to applying what we’ve learned across our projects and partnerships moving forward.
