Milspec Services Strengthens Defence Relationships in Adelaide

Chris Merten, Business Development Manager for Milspec Services, recently spent the week in Adelaide meeting with new and existing Defence and Defence Prime Contractor customers.

As part of Milspec’s ongoing commitment to supporting the Australian Defence Force and its key partners, Chris travelled across the city engaging in face-to-face discussions with procurement teams, engineers, and program managers. These meetings focused on understanding customer requirements, reviewing upcoming projects, and highlighting Milspec’s capabilities in sourcing hard-to-find and obsolete defence components, as well as supporting through-life sustainment programs.

“There’s no substitute for meeting people on the ground. Adelaide is a hub for Defence activity, and it was great to reconnect with our existing clients and introduce our services to new ones,” said Chris.

The visit included time at Adelaide Airport, with the city skyline in view, as seen in the first photo. With major Defence infrastructure located nearby, this part of the city reflects the vital role Adelaide plays in Australia’s national security and Defence industry strategy.

The second image shows a Royal Australian Air Force AP-3C Orion aircraft—one of the many defence assets Milspec Services is proud to support through component supply and sustainment partnerships. The photo was taken just outside RAAF Base Edinburgh, a key site for the Air Force’s surveillance and reconnaissance operations.

Milspec Services has been supporting Defence for over 32 years and continues to grow its presence in South Australia through active engagement, responsiveness, and a clear understanding of the sector’s needs.
